Dear CBSD Families and Staff, The School Board of Directors met on 8/19/2021 during the scheduled board meeting to review community input and recent universal indoor masking recommendation. At this time, effective immediately, CBSD will require universal indoor masking for all students, staff, and visitors. The approved plan is available on our website. As a reminder, tonight, Thursday, August 19, 2021, at 6:00 p.m., the Columbia Borough School Board of Directors will vote on the updated Health and Safety Plan in regards to the possibility of required indoor masking for students and staff. NO prescribed medications will be given to any student without an order from the student’s physician. Pennsylvanians may be eligible for the Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) to help with past and future rent/utility costs. To apply, you’ll need the following information on hand: • Personal identification information for the head of household. This could include a driver's license, state-issued ID card, passport, etc. • Income information for all household members over the age of 18. • Your lease and something to show the amount of rent you owe. • Your landlord's name and contact information. • Utility expenses like electric, water, oil, natural gas, etc. • Utility provider information. Important end of year dates: Friday, June 4, 2021-Last student day Friday, June 4, 2021-Columbia High School Graduation at 7pm in the auditorium. Tuesday, June 8, 2021-Computer Collection for remote Learners. Drop off location will be at the CHS/CMS Hill Campus at the maintenance shed located in the student parking lot. Drop off times are from 9am-12pm and 3pm-7pm.
