Today, we had the honor of surprising Ms. Arlene Gibble, 1st grade teacher at Park Elementary School, as a Winner of the Citadel Heart of Learning Award! 💙

This prestigious award recognizes outstanding teachers across the Greater Philadelphia area who go above and beyond for their students—and Ms. Gibble is truly one of the best! Out of thousands of nominations, she was selected for her dedication, passion, and lasting impact.

As Citadel celebrates the 25th anniversary of the Heart of Learning Award, nominees for this special recognition were required to have 25+ years of teaching—a milestone Ms. Gibble far exceeds. She was recognized in September 2025 for 55 years of service to CBSD. Citadel presented her with a $2,500 check and a commemorative glass heart.

The smiles, excitement, and celebration this morning made it a moment we’ll never forget!

👏 Congratulations, Ms. Gibble—this is a truly well-deserved honor!

Congratulations to the Columbia High School Girls Basketball Team on an outstanding 3rd place finish in District 3 Class 3A! With a thrilling 49–45 victory over Oley Valley last night, the Crimson Tide showed incredible heart, composure, and determination when it mattered most.

In a hard-fought battle from start to finish, Columbia rose to the challenge, making key plays down the stretch and locking in defensively to secure the win. The grit and teamwork on display reflect the dedication this team has shown all season long. Every player stepped up, supporting one another and leaving everything on the court.

This accomplishment is something to truly celebrate — not just because of the finish, but because of the pride, unity, and relentless effort this team brings every time they represent Columbia. The Crimson and Gold faithful have loved watching this group compete and grow together.

And the journey isn’t over yet! With this impressive win, the Crimson Tide now advance to the PIAA 3A State Basketball Championship. The entire Columbia community stands behind you as you prepare for the next challenge.

Good luck at states, Crimson Tide — keep making us proud! 🏀
