During National School Lunch Week, we are celebrating CBSD’s Food Services team and the care they bring to students each day.

From early-morning preparation and food-safety checks to fresh meal options and welcoming serving lines, this dedicated team helps ensure students have the nutritious meals they need to learn and grow. Yesterday, students from Columbia High School and Columbia Middle School Taylor Campus gathered at Mount Bethel Cemetery for the annual Mifflin Memorial Service.

Students honored Lloyd Mifflin, a Columbia native known for his work as an artist, poet, and photographer, while also recognizing his mother, Ann Elizabeth Bethel Heise Mifflin, and his brother, Dr. Houston Mifflin. The service marked what would have been Lloyd Mifflin’s 180th birthday.
