The CBSD has made the decision to move to remote learning for students at PARK ELEMENTARY beginning Friday (November 13, 2020). All other schools report as usual. Stay tuned for more information about next week’s schedule.
Grab & Go for breakfast and lunch will be available for pick-up at 9AM. The Meal Bundle Pick-Up is still scheduled for 2:45 – 3:15PM.

Advanced Reminder: Typically on a Tuesday we would be hosting Cohort A in school, BUT for Tuesday, November 24th, Cohort B will report to School and Cohort A will be online. This change is due to the holiday. This change is only for November 24th.

Fresh Express is happening today and pickup is at a different location! Pick up is from 3:30 to 5pm at Glatfelter Memorial Field, 1249 Lancaster Avenue, Columbia. Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health has partnered with the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank, Columbia Borough School District, Columbia Life Network, Community Action Partnership and Hunger-Free Lancaster County to bring Fresh Express, a mobile food pantry filled with fresh produce and healthy food options, to Columbia, Pennsylvania.

Taylor Families - Group B Students:
Family First Health Dental Group will be in our school for Group B Students on Friday, September 25, 2020. If your student is in Kindergarten, Third or Seventh Grade, they are required to have a dental exam, OR, if you have received a letter from the school nurse over the summer that stated your child needs a dental exam, I would encourage you to allow these dentists to examine your child’s teeth.

SCHOOL BOARD ANNOUNCES VACANCY
Columbia School Board announces a Board vacancy. Individuals interested in filling this position should send a letter of interest to: Mr. Keith Ramsey, Board Secretary Columbia Borough School District 200 N 5th St Columbia, PA 17512. Letters must be received by 4:00 pm on Friday, October 9, 2020. Interviews will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at 6:00 pm.
Parents and Caregivers: Thank you for your response to our first survey. Due to your responses we can make necessary adjustments to our Grab & Go program. We had an overwhelming majority of parents wanting meal bundles for 3 days reducing pick up to once a week instead of three times a week. We also put the grab and go menu option on Park and Taylor’s October menu and implemented more variety. We would like your opinion on one more item; timing of meal bundle pick up. If you have any other suggestion or concerns please email Alaina Melendez, Director of Food Services at amelendez@columbiabsd.org.
