Congratulations to the CHS Symphonic Band! On Monday, they travelled to Millersville University to participate in a Music Performance Assessment. The band played two prepared pieces and sight-read (no practice) another piece for a panel of judges who are collegiate band directors from Millersville, Messiah, and F&M. The band received a Superior rating from all three judges, the highest rating possible on the prepared pieces, as well as a Superior rating on the sight-reading piece.

The CHS Theatre Program is doing more then just “practicing.” The CHS theatre program encourages students to learn skills that could be used if they choose to go into a live event career. Some of the choreography you will see on the stage is designed and taught by our high school students. With support and encouragement these students are learning to lead, direct and create what they want to see on their stage.
