What is Mini-THON?
Mini-THON is a student-led movement inspired by Penn State’s THON, the largest student-run philanthropy in the world. We raise money to support Four Diamonds and their mission to conquer childhood cancer.
Through fundraising, events, and community spirit, we come together For The Kids (FTK) — bringing hope, support, and smiles to children and families impacted by cancer.

To wrap up their unit on Africa, Mr. Blair’s geography class had the honor of hosting Ms. Hilder Nanyondo! Ms. Nanyondo spoke about her upbringing in Uganda! This invaluable experience allowed the students to hear about life and culture in a different country. 🌍
🔬 STEM Day Recap! 🌟
Last week, our 7th, 8th, and 9th grade students kicked off the day with a variety of exciting STEM rotations—including interactive presentations from the Edible Garden, a LEGO-based activity, and creative, hands-on sessions led by our talented teachers.
In the afternoon, students took their learning beyond the classroom with field trips to the Turkey Hill Experience, National Watch & Clock Museum, First National Bank Museum, Columbia Crossings, Sahd’s Recycling, Manor Fire Company, and local farms.

One of Ms. Wolf’s students made a new feathery friend during the Hill Campus’s recent STEM Day field trip to Heritage Creek Farms! 🐔🌿 It was a fun, hands-on learning experience with lots of smiles and discoveries.

✍️📧In the weeks leading up to the PSSAs, students in 7th and 8th grade are competing in classroom challenges to cover important information covered on the test. On Wednesday, Ms. Wolf's 8th graders competed in a grammar review challenge that required students to fix common grammar and formatting mistakes in an example email. Students then relayed to the office with a special pass to receive the response email from administrative assistants.
Way to go, 8th grade—proof that learning can be both fun and fast-paced! 💪 📚✨

Unfair advantages? On purpose! Ms. Selander’s class had a blast with some playful competitions where the odds weren’t exactly even. One team tossed balls into a huge bowl 🥣, while the other aimed for a tiny cup . Then came the M&M challenge —clear cups for some, mystery opaque ones for others! These creative games got students thinking about perspective and fairness as they gear up to read The Outsiders 📖🔥
