During the Columbia Borough School District Board of Directors Committee Meeting on September 1, Board Member Rev. Sonya Duncan was recognized by the Pennsylvania School Boards Association (PSBA) for five years of service as a School Board Director.

For decades, PSBA has recognized the contributions of dedicated, long-term local school directors through its Honor Roll School Board Service program. The Honor Roll is the association’s way of thanking individuals who exemplify leadership by volunteering their time and sharing their talents for the betterment of public schools and students across the commonwealth.

School board members play an important role in supporting the district’s mission and helping ensure that the needs of students, staff, families, and the community remain at the center of decision-making. Their service reflects a commitment to public education and to helping create opportunities for all students to learn and succeed.
