A group of five people stand in a row with their right hands raised as they participate in a swearing-in ceremony. They face an officiant dressed in judicial robes who holds a microphone. Behind the group is a maroon backdrop with the Columbia Crimson Tide logo. The setting appears to be an indoor hall with tall windows and beige walls.

The Columbia Borough School District held its reorganization and regular board meeting on Thursday night, where five board members were officially sworn in to serve new terms on the Board of Directors.

Four returning members — Sonya Duncan, Lester Putt, Nathan Roach, and Elena Young — took the oath of office, reaffirming their continued commitment to the district. They were joined by new board member Thomas Ziegler, who will fill the seat previously held by Devon Fisher. Fisher’s term concluded on December 1, 2025.

The district also extended its appreciation to Mrs. Fisher, thanking her for her dedicated service to Columbia Borough School District’s students, staff, and families.

With the board now organized for the upcoming year, members will continue their work to support academic progress, strengthen community partnerships, and advance district initiatives.
