Local Students’ Research on Display at Columbia Crossing
Columbia, PA – Columbia High School Students in Melissa Mahoney-Anderson’s STEM exploration classes have conducted research and created posters about the impacts that farms have on rivers like the Susquehanna. Their posters are on display at Columbia Crossing River Trails Center. As a part of their research, the students traveled to a local farm and to Columbia Crossing to interview professionals about the topic. The students will also be returning to Columbia River Park to periodically test the water there, to learn more about what chemicals are in our local waterways.
