Students in Mrs. Lake's Classroom held their first "Cafe in the Classroom," where students prepared and served homemade chicken corn soup, salad, and ice cream to staff members. Experiences like this enhance student understanding of business operations, and also foster teamwork, responsibility, and problem-solving skills in a real-world setting. We look forward to the next "Cafe in the Classroom!"

Taylor students harvested some huge carrots in our Edible Classroom this week! They used them in a homemade pancake batter for extra nutrition, and topped those pancakes with fresh maple syrup. A monarch butterfly was also released from the garden this week!
