Students in 6th grade celebrated Pi Day by challenging themselves to memorize the first 10 digits of pi. All of the students successfully reached this goal, showing great focus and enthusiasm. Two students went above and beyond, memorizing even more digits!

They proudly sharing their accomplishments by being selected to "Pie" two Taylor staff members. It was a fun way to build excitement for math while recognizing students’ effort and perseverance.

Pi Day is an annual celebration of the mathematical concept, Pi. Pi Day is celebrated on March 14 (the 3rd month) since 3, 1, and 4 are the first three significant figures of Pi and was first celebrated in the United States.

🚨 Important Student Calendar Update 🚨

March 6th will now be a regular school day, serving as the inclement weather make-up day for December 2nd. 🌨️

In addition, the Board of Directors has approved a new graduation date for the Class of 2026. Columbia High School’s graduation ceremony has been moved from June 4, 2026, to June 3, 2026. As a result, senior early dismissal days have been adjusted from June 2–4, 2026, to June 1–3, 2026.
