Normally, it's used for physical education, as a cafeteria and for assemblies or displays. Last week, however, the steady hum of an ordinary window fan was punctuated with enthused, childish cries of discovery and wodnerment inside an inflated silver bubble. The other worldly ight was Starlab, a portable planetarium provided by the Lancaster-Lebanon IU13. The bubble, made of industrial strenght polymer and offereing about 200 square feet as class space, is a proven teaching aid.

Trevor Leas, 10, and Greg Bowers, 11, were on duty as crossing guards for Taylor Elementary School last week when they noticed smoke coming from a neighboring home.
