This week we celebrated Mr. Kreider's 50th Birthday!!! (it's actually today!) Staff and Students decorated his office and hallway with banners and flyers that students made about him.
From all of Taylor Campus, Happy Birthday Mr. Kreider!

Columbia alumni and Millersville football star, Robert Footman joined us for a special assembly last week. He shared with our students his experience with overcoming adversity, encouraged them to stay well rounded, and discussed his experiences attending Columbia Borough School District as well as Millersville University.
A huge thank you to Robert for spending time with us and for signing all of those autographs!

Tuesday, October 24th is Picture Retake Day for Taylor Campus. It will be held in the morning, before lunches. Some students from Ms. Huston's class created dioramas, game boards, and action figures for their quarterly book project!

Our campus is quite colorful this time of year!

Meet Ms. Tammie!

Students learned about compost and sampled veggies with a homemade herb dip in the Edible Classroom. They really enjoyed the dip and said they would like to make it at home! Enjoy this yummy recipe from the Edible Classroom!

Check out a few of the bulletin boards you can find throughout our building!

Last week, our 5th grade students had the opportunity to go out on the water during their Canoemobile field trip at the Columbia River Park!

Celebrating Pink Out Day!

Students in Mrs. Lake's Classroom held their first "Cafe in the Classroom," where students prepared and served homemade chicken corn soup, salad, and ice cream to staff members. Experiences like this enhance student understanding of business operations, and also foster teamwork, responsibility, and problem-solving skills in a real-world setting. We look forward to the next "Cafe in the Classroom!"

Some highlights from last evening's Family Event, Tales from the Taylor Community! Students shared poetry they have been working on in class, and families had the opportunity to share their own family stories.

Taylor students harvested some huge carrots in our Edible Classroom this week! They used them in a homemade pancake batter for extra nutrition, and topped those pancakes with fresh maple syrup. A monarch butterfly was also released from the garden this week!

Life is Bright here at Taylor! Students and staff participated in a spirit day today, wearing neon colors and sunglasses.

Picture Day is Coming! Monday, September 25th is Picture Day for Taylor Campus. All students will have their photos taken, but they are not required to purchase a photo package.
