Each month, teachers at Taylor Campus nominate students who shine in a specific area of character and academic growth. For May, the focus was Problem Solving—and our Students of the Month truly stood out for their persistence, creativity, and critical thinking.
🌟 Toby Tran was selected by Mrs. Huston, who shared:
"Toby displays problem solving skills on a daily basis. Toby is eager to share his problem-solving skills with his classmates and takes the time to search for possible solutions without giving up or getting frustrated."
🌟 Savannah Cruz-Saez, nominated by Mr. Pinkard, demonstrates exceptional skill and determination:
"Savannah demonstrates exceptional problem-solving skills, consistently approaching challenges with creativity, logic, and determination."
🌟 Lily Roach received recognition from Mrs. Wright, who wrote:
"We are proud to recognize Lily Roach as our Student of the Month for her outstanding problem-solving skills. She consistently demonstrates a thoughtful and strategic approach to challenges, whether in the classroom or during group activities. Congratulations, Lily, on this well-deserved recognition!"
🌟 Idubin Vargas, chosen by Mr. Aston, sets an example for others with his persistence:
"Idubin has never been one to shy away from a challenge. His desire to finish things and his persistence are a great example to his classmates."
🎉 In addition to being a Student of the Month, Savannah Cruz-Saez was also honored as the Columbia Lions Club Student of the Month! Members of the Lions Club visited Taylor Campus to present Savannah with a certificate to a local eatery and a stuffed lion to commemorate her achievement.
We are proud of all our May Students of the Month for their outstanding problem-solving skills and positive example to their peers. Keep up the great work!
