Our 3rd graders visited the Capitol and Whitacker Center in Harrisburg. They received a VIP tour and were able to hear from some important people! Our students represented Park Elementary very well! We are Park Proud!

Ms. Gallup and Mrs.Melleby's groups played an April Fools joke: They asked teachers if they wanted a brownie and presented them with a brown E - hahahaha! They of course were able to have the real treat!

In honor of finishing our One School, One Book today Mrs. Shirk's 3rd Grade class tried Gavin's favorite after school snack of grape jelly on wheat crackers. They loved it!

Ms. Carlotta had a busy day hanging out in the office:
-helping us answer phones, test the doorbell, sort mail, make copies and talk on the walkie!

Ms. Rider and Mrs. Canaan's 4th Grade classes have been reading the story: "The Invention of Hugo Cabret" and were able to visit the Watch and Clock Museum in Columbia to see in-person some of the materials in the text of the story.

Park was so excited to have Steven Courtney come and perform for us on 3/27 at our PBIS Celebration! We were able to dance, sing, clap, snap our fingers and smile to his catchy tunes!

Yesterday we celebrated Books For Breakfast with 3rd and 4th Grade!
Families enjoyed some breakfast treats, got a book to take home and had some reading time with their family.

Park Elementary kicked off our One School, One Book program with a school-wide assembly last week! Yesterday we began reading Chapter 1! Please be on the look out for our mystery reader videos which will allow you to listen to the book as a family at home.
