Biography

My name is Mrs. Ware and I am very excited to be a Middle School Counselor at Columbia Borough School District. I currently work with students in Grades 5 & 6 at Taylor Campus and 7 & 8 on the Hill. This is my 5th year as a School Counselor and my first full year at CMS! I love running groups, teaching in the classroom, and working with students individually. I look forward to continuing to get to know the students of CMS!

I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Millersville University and my Master’s Degree in School Counseling from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. I am certified as a Level II Educational Specialist K-12 in Pennsylvania. I also am a Licensed Behavior Specialist. I worked for 3 years as a Non-Public Schools Counselor with the Allegheny Intermediate Unit 3 in the South HIlls of Pittsburgh, and half of a year at Solanco School District as an Elementary Counselor.

My husband and I have two daughters in elementary school and a dog named Maverick. We recently relocated to my hometown of Maytown, Pa after living outside of Pittsburgh, Pa for almost 10 years. We love being so close to the Susquehanna river and enjoy walks on the trails! In my free time I like to read, listen to podcasts, Pinterest, and travel to new places!

The Chap Team

The Chap Team is a trained group of caring staff at the High School/Hill Campus that assist students who are having difficulties in school. Circumstances either in school, or out, may interfere in a student’s ability to be successful in school. Some of these difficulties may include depression, anger, anxiety, cutting behavior, or possible drug and alcohol use. Please contact a member of the team for assistance. We can only help if we are aware of the situation. CALL 684-7500 and ask for the CHAP Team Coordinator, School Counselor, or School nurse.

Get involved & give back to our students!

Do you have an exciting career? Are you willing to volunteer for 2 hours in the morning once a year? Would you like to share your career with our students? Contact Mrs. Ware to be a Guest Speaker at Career Day 2018 now! eware@columbiabsd.org
