The state of Pennsylvania recently received a waiver from the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) accountability system. The new system uses a variable known as the Annual Measurable Objective (AMO) and is based on a growth model. It tells schools the rate of growth they must achieve in future testing. Each school receives a profile number that is applied to a formula to determine the AMO. Schools are now also labeled with new terms that reward the top 5% schools and more closely monitor the bottom 15% of schools. All our schools are labeled as “not designated “for this report and have very achievable growth targets for the future.
